what is the offset range for an ML?

would 2 different offsets work?

20x10 35 offset
and
20x10 42 offset

Some here have used a 35 offset and they claim no problems at all. I don't see how a +35 offset will clear the front brake caliper of the ML500 without spacers, unless the wheel is designed to clear the calipers, which is possible. I don't know about the 320/regular 350, but if your 350 is of the SE variety, you have the ML500 brake hardware - for me, the +35 offset is an instant issue in that situation.

I have a +40 offset with 19x9.5 Monet Gothic wheels. My wheels will not work without spacers, period.

You also have to think about what it'll look like. If your 20inch setup still keeps the wheels tucked in OEM style, why bother. You want to meet the fender walls and it gets a bit more complex if you have fender flares. You make up your mind about what you want and ask more questions.
