Off-road packaging

Since the new W164 will come with an optional off-road package, does that mean the none off-road package can not handle light off-roading? Like occasional camping trails and such. I am not talking about major rock crawling here. I do take my current W163 on some trails and wanted to know if the new W164 is capable of doing the same without going for the more expensive off-road package.

The major difference will be the lack of low range. Forest roads and camping type use will be perfectly in the ability of the base W164. In addition, you can get the road going version of air suspension for some control of ride height (though not quite as high as with the off-road package). The locking differentials are new to the off-road pkg. and are an added feature that is not required for light use.
