I have a 1997 SL320 with 43K miles. The temperature reader back bulb went a few months ago. Yesterday the odometer and trip mileage counter went. Does anybody know what it takes to fix it. I hate to have to pay a lot for a simple bulb, specially if I could do it myself. Thanks in advance for your help.

Unfortunately, it's really hard to take out the dash. I'll look for some instructions and post it.

Thanks for looking into this. The lights are working one day and then not work the next day.

Did you ever find the solution for this? Im having the exact same symptoms in my 2001 SL500. Was it truly the bulbs?

someone asked the same questions previously. the answer was to pull out dash and replace bulbs. read back a few messages.
