The odometer reflects the chassis mileage, not the engine.

Replacement speedometers can be set to the "correct" distance reading to match the indication of the speedometer that was replaced using STAR. If you can find someone willing, there isn't much you cannot do with STAR but changing the distance indication to a value not reflecting the actual usage is a violation of federal law in almost any country.
