I was about to fix mine on my 79 SL, but I found a Mercedes repair place that will sell me a used one. But what I was wondering, do I try and get one with roughly the same kilometres, or do I think deceptively and get one that says less? Only I will know, and I don't EVER plan on selling it.

Don't know if you folks do the same up there, but here in TX - when they inspect your car - they record the mileage. That stuff shows up on CarFax, as a questionable... You might have to sell it one day - even though you are not planning on it.
