Well I finnaly git around to pulling my Speedometer cluster and taking it in for reapir' ( odometer had quit ) One of you guys pointed out a while back that we had a good shop nearby in Jacksonville. It is called A+ speedometer and they were great. It took a little over an hour and cost $184.00 including all new bulbs and taxes. Pulling steering wheel hardest part and you do really need an impact wrench. Be sure to disconnect battery as a safety measure. Shaft for wheel is not tapered so wheel comes off easily. all wires and connections are either numbered or self explanitory by the connection. A+ get's a lot of stuff shipped to them for repair and I highly recommend them.

Mine had 79868 and quit the day after I bought it. The parts are VDO and still being made I am told. It is a common problemm for theese but the fix is not a big deal. Whether go new or used is your call as well as whether to fix. My car os so original and nice I just want tp preserve it as well as I can and still drive it. They can set new one at what ever mileage you want. I replaced all bulbs while dash was out, not expensive. Removing steering wheel requires an air wrench, but I would not use it to replace it, and be sure to mark position, to get wheel straight as it has very small splines on shaft
