The Hellgeth approach. These are Fronts, but the approach would be the same on the rear. On the Fronts, it looks like they just zip the lip off of the fender, so it is just a flat arc, then they attach rubber sheet of some type to take them as wide as they want. The seam is backed up with an aluminum strap.
You get good coverage and a fender with some 'give' if you bonk into things.

Very nice pictures. Thank you.
I have lots of rubber conveyor belt to work with, im going to try a few things and see what I like best. I like the idea of the outer section of fender being rubber and maybe surviving a tree rub.

I'm a little surprised that nobody commented on the Cummins and OM352 engines I posted next to each other. They are both refurbished by the same company, but the notable thing is the bifurcated valve cover on the OM352.

It looks to have two distinct pieces, one that houses the valve train , and one that is possibly a separate piece, or at least a separate chamber, just for the intake. The photos, unfortunately, were not taken to feature the valve cover, but you can see that it is markedly different than what is usually seen on an OM352.

It would be interesting to see a shot from above, showing the bolt pattern and anything else that would help to explain how it works...and if it shares the bolt pattern with a standard OM352 head.

It is an OM352, refurbished and ready to go, but that valve cover must be some clever engineering, because there isn't much room to work with, and no free bolts (aside from the head bolts) between the valve train and the inlet ports.

I have not found any more examples of this piece. I think the rebuilding shop might have been in Brazil, but I didn't make a note of that.

Clean MBU from Brazil. No indication of what model it is. Nice custom bed that fits well into the proportions.
It loses the front bar and gains a winch and some LEDs up front.

Some nice colors on the UGE series. Photos 2,3,4,5 are all the same truck - just more muted with the overcast sky.

I'd better get to work on my Chandelier. It hasn't been on any of my lists so far, and 'supremely posh' just has not been my focus. I have to catch up.

This U1650L sold at auction about a year ago. Transit system in Boston, configured for 'Derailing response'.
Low mileage. Signs of the typical rear door rust percolating up.

It has the look of a UNIMOG that Jack Russell might have been involved with speccing out.
