Hi, I have a 2004 A160/W168. It has developed a rather annoying loud hum seemingly from the front of the car somewhere, between 75/85 kph ( 45/50 mph), nothing noticeable either side of these speeds.
Any thoughts or there?
Thanks in advance.

even it makes noise I'll ignore it and try to keep it with my girl friend
Wha? How is that even remotely helpful?
Granted it is a little bit funny, but not at all helpful which given this is a forum where one might ask for help...

Check your front tyres for stones, screws and other foreign bodies. You mjght have an unbalanced wheel.

While the hum is present, shift down to 4th (if it’s in 5th). This can eliminate your gearbox as a source of the noise, if downshifting makes no difference.

Try driving in tiptronic and see if the noise comes when you shift to a certain gear.
