My metric system might be a bit rusty, but wouldn't that make it a fighter jet? ... or at least a cruise missile :p
Ha ha. good catch David. L/100km. I can never get this straight. Despite having lived in a Metric country all my life, I'm just so used to using the American measurements (miles/gallon) cuz our lives are so influenced by the US.

My Imperial / Metric system comprehension is a mess (well, I am British) - preferred ones are miles and mpg, but litres and ºC; grams and pounds are equally useful, as are mm and inches; psi but Nm ... certainly A4, not letter or legal :p

As to the subject matter - took this pic today:

31.9 is quite OK if you're in an urban context. I am in about half urban and half highway and my average is 38.4 MPG, or a bit under 7.4 L/100 km if you prefer. But that's as measured properly at the pump over only 280,000 km.....on the OBC it'd be 6.9 L/100 km.

I agree - it is okay (i'm not too worried about mpgs anyway), plus more than half of that mileage is driven in S, and yes, a lot of urban driving, hence the average speed of 31mph ...

OBC is a bit optimistic, I'm sure, but Garmin ecoRoute is even more so - not that I pay much attention to either ...

When it's time to fill up, I do :)

Recently switched from Shell standard unleaded (95) to Tesco Momentum 99 - car seems a bit more agile ... could be a placebo effect. Cost is basically the same - £1.309 per litre - so why not ;)

..

...........Similar price per litre..today it was showing $1.179 CDN ..regular and $1.279 for premium.....but .£ to CDN dollar..hummm..

Crossing the Quebec border into Ontario (yesterday) near Hawkesbury and an hour away for smoother bike rides....and it was 1.109 reg..and $ 1.259 premium..

...so still a kind of bargain for us..

Covid-19 is sadly setting in and this was the drastically low pump price mid-March 2020....be safe,..be smart..and wash your hands often....and self-isolate as much as possible..

..and the most recent OBC total for me..still super low...

Such low mileage added since COVID set in for us.. Audi is the trip vehicle and B takes us to nearby shopping etc..not much vehicle movement ..but that should change later into this year..(I would hope..)..but still low fuel consumption..I'm still waiting to see 6.0 soon..as it's been at 5.9 for a very long time.

Stay well,...and safe driving wishes for all..

Here are the latest #'s. Surprizingly my average since the 100,000 rollover remains at 5.9 for the last 35,000+ km and many of the last years runs have been in the mid to high 5's ..so that 5.9L/100km should hang around for quite a bit longer...Quiet COVID times and careful driving help.

Fascinating and impressive consumption DEVOURS. 😀 I do so many short city trips that a lot of time I average 26 km/h and thus my 10.6 l/100 km. Lately it's been 24 km/h and thus I have moved into the 11 L range per 100 km.

From where we live, we have to enter a highway system in 2 km from the house. So a bit of slow/mid speed sand and gravel, and then the highway for most of the rest.

Actually..MB•David, you did post some great averages from your A200 with that detailed app a few years back here for your A200, and that car was so well decked out and modified, it must have been sad for you to part with it. I would have had a hard time parting with it, if it was mine.
But now you are running around in that wonderful electric..so you are far ahead of us here....and still always helping members here.

Good or bad, I do wish that we could have others post their regular readings or averages here.

Thank you DEVOURS, very kind of you to remember - I believe, most of the time the A200 was rather fuel-hungry, with me driving it quite "enthusiastically" LOL ... If I remember correctly, it would show about 9.4 litres per 100 km on average, and 8.8 litres at best.

It was a bit sad to let it go, yes - financial considerations were a deciding factor - it was costing us over a £1,000 a year just sitting in the driveway.
Things changed quite a bit now and perhaps I would've kept it, if I had to decide today.

As to the little electric car - it is actually going back to the lease company in a few days, as I changed jobs and already bought a replacement - a very similar car, this time without fancy lease arrangements ... It's a 4-seater smart EQ, same 2020 year and about the same spec, with a few extra bits, but a slightly boring colour scheme - pearl white with a black frame.

The first 2 listing are nice #'s and recent. The last 3 are from decades past, but all nice averages to hold on to.

Also great to see them added here.

That the B 200 is nearly a litre per 100 better than the Peugeot 405 was a bit of a surprise...it weighs 200 kg more and has 24 more HP. On the other hand, my commute with the Peugeot 405 for the first 5 years was brutal for FE. Also, the B 200 is not too far off the Renault 5 (which also had the brutal commute)!

I also use the V Power when I can find a Shell station. They still say ethanol free for the premium and I hope that that stat label is still accurate. There are a few brands that show ethanol free in their super grade.
