Why not post your fuel averages...

wow, that fuel consumption tho.... im incredibly jealous

The first 100 K gave me 6.4..

https://www.benzworld.org/forums/at...150021-obc-b200-fuel-postings-img_0014-2-.jpg

..so I'm hoping that I can keep the next 100 K..to a bit less that that..so far..so good..but it's creeping up and closing in on 6.0....as of 18,727 km...

I do not plan to reset the OBC as it does a daily average from the start of each daily trip..as you all know..

I am currently getting 9.1L/100km... with that being said, I just picked this vehicle up, and haven't done any work to it yet.

Once I get my engine oil/ cvt fluid changed, I will update my fuel averages!

I'll try to remember to take a pic or two. I did reset quite recently though ...

As I don't drive that much nowadays, I'm not really too worried about my mpgs, so hardly ever look at that menu in the cluster :grin

However, my Garmin is keeping a watchful eye on things, as it's permanently linked to the car via OBD-II and its ecoRoute HD+ (this one was screenshot in March 2018, the petrol went up to about £1.30 per litre now):

Some trips are a bit better (same day, coming back from Mercedes Milton Keynes):

From what i gather since a new owner, a lot of highway and a lot of cruise control will help mpg. In the city im better off on short run using cruise than gas pedal as per computer...I noticed a lot of high fuel mpg on stop and go but as soon as you have steady speed it goes down fast. Here with our lovely roads and construction road works its a lot of stop and go and cant get lower thand 9-10 if I dont go on highway

Albeit, I have a Turbo, with the stop and go in Vancouver, I average 10-11 L/100km of city driving. I rarely see the highway. When I drive around after hours (after 9pm), I can get about 8-8.5 L/100k because there's less traffic on the main arterial routes. When I do get out onto the highway, I can see 7.5-8.5 depending on speed and grade.

Yes thats more like mine also and like I said even city driving with cruise on at 50-60kmh helps me bring down mpg a bit

Ha ha, we can't use cruise control in our city. You will end up in the back of somebody. There is literally a traffic light every 50 meters. So, it really is stop and go. Also, can barely get the car upto 50 km/h before having to apply the brakes. Vancouver is made for the electric cars (that's probably why there are so many around).

It also gives you brownie points for good behaviour ... although, when one goes 100mph, it takes the overall points away ... well, you can't win them all :wink

.........still low kms..on my old B 200..(2006)

Now for input from others here .."with the B Class fuel averages prefered" .. I'd prefer to see cars of the same weight if possible..but the above A Class #'s are also impressive..

Here are my latest fuel #'s from the OBC..on my B...

My current average over the last 1900 miles is 31.8mpg ... I do like to "make progress" ;)

How much lighter is C169 compared to W245?

Found it: apparently mine is 1,275kg (not including sports suspension and 18" AMG alloys), and B200 Turbo 1,370kg (manual) and 1,405 (autotronic).

Thanks for those Class weight #'s MB•David....

..Your A Class is just ~ 200 lbs lighter..and not very much indeed from my manual B.

If Imp Gal, then your 31.8 gives 8.88 L/100 km..but..

If US Gal, then your 31.8 gives 7.40 L/100 km...........

I seem to be holding very steady as I'm now 25,000 into the 2nd 100,000 km span for calculation purposes..

I'm always hoping that other B's will give up some fuel consumption #'s also..

Yes, my figures are in Imperial Gallons.

Now that I drive a bit more, following our move away from mad city life into a quiet village 14 miles away, perhaps I should start paying more attention to my mpgs ... just passed 46,100 miles so still nowhere near the mileage you chaps do.

Yes vanctour..

...those are very high averages ..even for the Turbo B....but posting just gets others to add their #'s I'm hoping..

I do remember that some of the CDI's in Europe had very good readings....

Would the B170 or 180 or even the diesel 200 give better fuel averages ?

Yes
MB•David

.I would like to see your upcoming averages..if possible..
