Whats the recomended purge valve replacement mileage? My 11 b200 take a lot more than that in city alone!
I would contact this gentleman for info on the purge valve as mine is still OE and never been touched..Valve was $200. labour is about 40 mins and a vacuum check valve was $25.
My car was at 110, 000 km at the time of my purge valve replacement. But I don't think this item is mileage dependent.Whats the recomended purge valve replacement mileage? My 11 b200 take a lot more than that in city alone!
Slowly adding a few more clicks onto my B..Now at only ~ 112700 kms....but all is white on our property..
wow, that fuel consumption tho.... im incredibly jealous
I am currently getting 9.1L/100km... with that being said, I just picked this vehicle up, and haven't done any work to it yet.Why not post your fuel averages...
The first 100 K gave me 6.4..

..so I'm hoping that I can keep the next 100 K..to a bit less that that..so far..so good..but it's creeping up and closing in on 6.0....as of 18,727 km...
I do not plan to reset the OBC as it does a daily average from the start of each daily trip..as you all know..

Once I get my engine oil/ cvt fluid changed, I will update my fuel averages!
Yes thats more like mine also and like I said even city driving with cruise on at 50-60kmh helps me bring down mpg a bitAlbeit, I have a Turbo, with the stop and go in Vancouver, I average 10-11 L/100km of city driving. I rarely see the highway. When I drive around after hours (after 9pm), I can get about 8-8.5 L/100k because there's less traffic on the main arterial routes. When I do get out onto the highway, I can see 7.5-8.5 depending on speed and grade.
Ha ha, we can't use cruise control in our city. You will end up in the back of somebody. There is literally a traffic light every 50 meters. So, it really is stop and go. Also, can barely get the car upto 50 km/h before having to apply the brakes. Vancouver is made for the electric cars (that's probably why there are so many around).Yes thats more like mine also and like I said even city driving with cruise on at 50-60kmh helps me bring down mpg a bit
-It also gives you brownie points for good behaviour ... although, when one goes 100mph, it takes the overall points away ... well, you can't win them all :wink

My metric system might be a bit rusty, but wouldn't that make it a fighter jet? ... or at least a cruise missileSo, my fuel numbers are in the 12-13 km/100L.
