Lets have some fun here.........:D If you feel like posting.. that's great..!!!

Remember not to hit the reset and show the "after start" setting. That way no one can "clip out" the rich start up #'s.....

That's OK!!!...My dealer hit my reset way back in 2005....

Every B has it reset by the dealer when it's new. ..and some of us just keep hitting the reset over and over again....
It should automatically reset at 99,999 kms

Someone wanted me to post a 5.1L/100km but I couldn't find it....,so this will have to do for now...:eclipsee_steering:

Oh...Yes...It's a manual....:eclipsee_steering: ...and being Canadian, naturally it's non diesel.

Remember,..these are the fun #'s that come along from time to time. The real deal is the 6.6L/100km that's in there.

The kayaks on top really make the good #'s hard to find, and the very cold winter weather that we have is also a tough hit on the good fuel #'s.

...or is it the cylinder deactivation technology that has been installed way back when.

...or is it that fact that I've been spending far too much time chasing tornadoes.

...or is it photoshop.(I still don't know how to put fricking arrows in a pic.)..

^ ok, not gonna believe anything you say now until I see a youtube video and explanation of how you got those numbers. I say a long downhill section coasting down in gear.

Just wow.

I was thinking of how best to explain it...;);)

What if I had a friend with one of those large motor homes, and attached my B as he towed me along on a cross Canada trip. I would get in the B and start it and it would coast along at highway speeds for days and days. The #'s would be awesome I would think...

Paulo..??... That would probably work wouldn't it?:D:cool:

I know that the diesel B's from across the pond would add some great #'s when I was asking about the best fuel #'s on our B's back a few years ago. They can be regularly in the ~4's/100 km.

....but my first 2 km are on a dusty silty road, so the warm up starts at a fairly slow speed(20 to 30 kph) and then onto the 90 km max road. I do take the 401 to Toronto a fair bit but I also have to go through at least 20 towns before I get to the 401.
It's all in the right peddle... to tell you the whole truth and nothing but the truth....

Seeing as top speed has also been recently been brought up,...here is the best that I have dared to do...that's with the snow tires too....

Need a longer stretch to do more with my old B 200 ...
...and on other occasions I sometimes manage to s t r e t c h the fuel tank out too.......

Montreal is truly unique in that if the falling cement doesn't get you,... the pot holes will. Daniel(nest) lost 2 winter B Class hubcaps a few years back and I think that he had some rim damage :bash:..too.

I often travel to Laval and then take the Metro(underground) to get to where I have to go. The falling cement shouldn't get to me there. :surrender:

Montreal has a great ~15'000 bike tour called the "Tour de L'ile" But when driving in Montreal it is now noted as the "Detour de L'ile" city.

You'll never get a good FE while traveling in Montreal,...and you're probably driving a Turbo B.

This is sick. Everytime I pass through the pot hole, I feel the impact of my wheel...

And nope, I am only driving a 2008 B200 (not turbo). There is no way to passby the pothole because it is everywhere. Sick! I feel I will have to repair this car soon due to the pot hole :dunno:

mpg

Hi, DEVOURS
I just tried a small trip today on even roads ,I kept the tach at 2000 which worked out at about 65-68 mph , this gave me an obc fuel reading of 30.5 mpg on the 56 mile trip, so far these are my best results ,It works out at 110 kph at 7.7 liter per 100 roughly
I have not driven so slow before...lol ,But if I can save on the gas bill I might get used to it.
Maybe at a 100 kph I might get 35 mpg.

US MPG, right? Try 90 km/h, or even 80, it helps.

My B usually sits around 3000 RPM on the highway...
...and I sometimes wish that the B 200 manuals had been given that 6th gear. As you drive faster than 95 km/hour, the fuel consumption increases noticeably.

Here's a fast highway to eat up some fuel. I was on it last week,..and still got to play in the snow.
