I got 18"x10" rims for the rear for my 560SEC but I am not sure what size tires to get and my car is lower.

These are the sizes that I need to choose from I think.
1. 225/40/18
2. 265/35/18
3. 275/35/18

I hope you live where the roads are Smooth! Around here in atlanta the shortest sidewall I feel semi safe w/ is a 45. 35's are going to be kinda harsh IMHO..

I'm running 275-35-18" on the rear of my SEC, but haven't lowered the car yet. I have been told that they will most likely rub, if the inner fender lips aren't rolled before lowering. They sit on 10" rims.

245/40/18 for fronts (8.5") and 275/35/18 for the rears (10"). Shouldn't rub at all.

I am going do this set up and cross my fingers that I don't have to take a baseball bat to my fenders [:)]

OK, Mike. I'm trusting your judgement. Going to proceed with H&R lowering springs and shocks, as I have the exact wheel and tire sizes from your above post.

My father-in-law runs 285/35/18 rears on his SEC with 23 offset 9.5 wide wheels and only experiences minor rubbing on hard cornering. He has the H&R setup on his '88 560SEC. Every car is a little different it seems but you should be safe. The offset on my rear 17x10's is 17 and I didn't have to roll fenders with the 275 tires.

My offset is 25 with the 275/35/18's. I was planning on rolling the fenders before respraying the car. The car looks silly without lowering it, in my opinion.

i'm running 285/30-18 on my rear. that is the closest circumferance to my OEM wheels. what is the OEM size of your 560? that is the circumference you should be aiming for.
