One of these days a bunch of us east coast moggers are going to make it out there! I need to get my turbo 416 doka done first, before I can make the trip. Maybe next year.

a message from jim molloy (our nwmf host)

Hello to all,

I meant to send this yesterday but was too busy with NWMF prep work. Better
late than never. I just wanted to remind folks that if you have not done so
already, we request that you go through the RSVP process if you do plan to
attend. It is very easy. Just go to: invite NorthWest MogFest
Scroll down and click on "RSVP for NWMF..." and take it from there. We
officially kick off our thirteenth annual NWMF two weeks from today.

The influx of RSVPs has surpassed last year’s by quite a bit. It looks like
it should be a big year not only for Unimogs, G-wagens, Düdos (and other
Mercedes cars and trucks) but also various Steyr-Puch, VW, Volvo and Land
Rover products. Anticipated Haflinger presence lone appears to be record
breaking for North America. Keep in mind that the invitation went out to the
micro-car folks as well as the Military Vehicle Collector Club of Oregon as
well. Ever see a Gamma Goat swim?

Kendall Everett is working on yet another NWMF T-shirt masterpiece and
stickers are in the works. Since we are heading into the pre-event time
period when we become extremely focused on the large number of tasks at
hand, I am not sure how many more updates will be coming. As in years past,
this is always a work in progress and the schedule of events is always
fluid. Rest assured that NWMF2012 will not be boring.

Hope to see many of you soon.

That would be an awesome convoy.

We made it down in '08 and it was a great time, we'll make it down again, just not this year, to much on the go. Now that I have a vehicle with fast axles..should make the trip much more enjoyable ;)

Aloha Krisinak,
Are you bringing your beautiful Campermog? Boy I'd Looooove to get to check it out! So where will you coming from?
Once I get to Oregon, I have only 200 miles to drive to NWMF, but will be loaded with backhoe and dirt blade, so it will be low and slow.
Very much looking forward to being there, as I've missed several now.
It has always been a really good and interesting bunch of people and vehicles.
See you there, and safe travels.
Aloha

See you guys there! Lucky me, I'm only about an hour away!

I'll have the U1200 there as well as the 419, G-wagen too.

Should be an epic Mogfest.

Don't forget to bring and donate some goodies for the raffle. We love winning cool stuff!

Free rides in the pit, stop me and ask, I may even let you dig a hole with the 419.

Hi Locked up,
Glad to hear your coming.
Jim had mentioned that there would be a couple of see tractors this year.
I have never seen one in person, it'll be interesting to have a 419 and an antiquated Bundeswehr version side by side.
By the way does anyone know if there are any plans for a trail ride to Tillamook, or anywhere else that would require an Oregon ATV permit?
I guess I should just get one already...
The group trail rides are my favorite as I have had so little time with my Mog. Follow the leader!
Take Care & See ya there.

No real trail ride that I've heard of this year. I usually put on the Syncro friendly trail ride, with TSF closing 2 times in a row the day before the trail ride, I gave up investing a bunch of time pre riding the trails.

I was going to put together a short ride to the beach Friday morning with a bit of wheeling on the sand. No offroad permit required. We could make a giant sand castle.

We missed seeing your 406 last year, and I think the year before that, welcome back.

Tim, I'll be driving from NW Montana. Planning about 2 1/2 days on the road. Should roll in Friday afternoon. We plan to camp along the river. See you there. Kris

I'm looking forward to seeing you there. I remember an awesome pit tour in your gwagon in 2010.

Best Wishes for an enjoyable NWMF!
Regrets, but I can't make it this year due to a [probably blown] head gasket and consequent coolant leak, with too many other things consuming the time needed to get at it.

A group of us are planning on going up to the Trask area for a trail ride Friday morning. Permits in years past have been available at the Carquest in Sheridan. The Trask is relatively close to the farm and the roads are Haflinger friendly. (important for me, Mog staying home this year) I have not prerun any trails, but we went up there with a variety of trucks a couple years ago and enjoyed the ride. If you want to join in the ride you are welcome. I will be arriving at the farm Wednesday.

Great! thanks for the information about permits at the Carquest.
that sounds easy. Trail ride... I'm in.
I went to NWMF Mogless, it still is a great time, once you get past the naked feeling that is :p
Come if you can!
Aloha & safe travels
