CNN said:
The island shelling came half a year after North Korea torpedoed a naval ship, the Cheonan, killing 46 sailors.
CNN found proof? Do tell.

NK is good evidence that a nuclear deterrent works. Libya is good evidence taht negotiation and being an ally on the WOT terror doesn't preclude an invasion.
North and south korea has been a stand off for a lot of years and the south most probably does have nuclear weapons. The North makes one weapon and tests it on the Chinese border area. Trust me the north is wedged between two countries that wish for it to behave and they will make it behave.

Little incidents on the border are normal, it is in their culture now to provoke one and other. America is stepping back from the brink on this as there is too much involved, I am convinced the south are as worried as the North about this situation. China will play mediator as usual.
