Out of curiosity since I have not been able to put many miles on yet between winter and service what is the oil burn rate on these cars.

I have had other cars that pracitcally burn none and some that were about 1 quart or slightly more.

Oil consumption between changes is 0 on my Dad's 500 w/ 60k and 0 on my 600 with 38k.

My '98 w/86K miles does not burn (or leak) any oil at all.

My R129 has 72k, burns no oil. My W220 has 63k, burns no oil. Both have a version of the M113 engine.

'00 SL500 47K miles Mobil 1 5-30, last service was done at 8500 miles of service and it uses NO OIL!!!!!!!!!! NONE!!!!!!

No oil if you do the oil changes often.

My SL500, 2001 with 160.000 miles use no oil, no leaks neither on engine or any other places containing oil fluid.

Pretty much zero in my case. At least it is undetectable over the oil change interval. 100k 98 SL500.
