noisey lifter at cold start

I have a 1993 300se inline 6 cylinder 85000 miles (bought it new); on a cold start one of the lifters is noisey for a few seconds, then quiets. Changing lifters is expensive according to the dealership,
so I am wondering if anybody has had any experience with this issue and maybe tried Mobile 1 oil. I am interested in finding out if the mobile 1 resists leaking down to the pan as fast as traditional oil and thus offer some residual lubrication relative to traditional Dino oil.
