I do not mean to be rude but there are already numerous posts on this topic and it has been beaten to death. It is not for a lack of enthusiasm but rather I think you have just entered the conversation a bit late. We are all deeply bothered over the upcoming unavailability of the G for the civilian market.

I have been reading all about the new G and the fact that the old version...........the one we all know and love,will soon be no more...........I don't know how much truth there is too it.........it has been stipulated by MB too often and then revoked..........does anyone have a true source.........if I can still order and buy one after 2005.............I know they will still make the military version and that the new G will be made in the US in the new upgraded MB plat that currently makes the M..........but can I still order the old version i.e. shape.........and if so at what premium........if I will no longer be able to get the old shape I will buy a couple before they fade away.............my family has been driving the G series for 25 years and we currently have 8 on hand with the oldest over 20 years old..........[
