A prototype for the next-generation Mercedes-Benz GLA compact crossover has been spied testing in Germany.

The new GLA was first spotted undergoing cold weather testing earlier this year, however these recent spy shots show the crossover looking a bit more production ready. It was previously seen wearing more camouflage, but this time around we can make out the slender LED tail lamps, LED daytime running lights and some of the body lines. This prototype looks very much like prototypes for the next-generation Mercedes A-Class that have been spotted, supporting theories the new GLA and A-Class will appear largely similar.

The next-gen GLA, along with the CLA, will also have a cabin similar to that of the next A-Class. It should appear similar to other vehicles in the Mercedes range such as the E-Class and S-Class, with twin digital displays for the instruments and the infotainment system.
