Hi folk,

Just bought my 88 W460 300GD, the previous owner was not a four wheeler, neither to say he never engaged four wheel drive mode within his ten year’s ownership. There are several parts missing in my G and a little rust at the bottom of windshield, other that that it’s a nice G.
One question is I have no luck to get the datacard in Russian’s site. My G VIN is W46033217061074 and I am 100% sure it was legally imported and registered in my country 18 years ago. Any idea?

I am looking for the part number of some missing parts. I did search in this forum and wanna make sure the part number is correct prior to my placing order.
1.) Rear right bumper end cap: A460 525 12 38, Right number?
2.) Heater coil and In/Out heater hose? I heard BEHR has an identical one and only 1/3 of MB price but no dealer here.
3.) Rear up right body vent plastic screen.
4.) “300GD” badge at right side mirror.
It will be very appreciated if any input. Thanks.

Data card

You left out the DB. It should be WDB46033217061074. That said I checked the Russian site for your vin but it did not find it. Recheck you numbers on your plate. To verify that they are correct, compare that number to the one stamped on the frame rail in the front passenger side wheel well area just behind the tire. If that is a different number then someone has swapped your plate.

For your parts check here: http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb0.asp?TP=2

Your VIN does not come up as a good number in the EPC.
#1. A 460 525 1438 (for a truck with flares)
A 460 525 0138 ( for a truck w/o flares)
#2. more info
#3. A 460 698 0089
#4. A 460 817 0915

Many thanks, Steve.

Am I the only one who has this VIN issue in this forum? I assume that every MB vehicle shall has its own & correct data card. Though my G is a grey market one but the DOT paper seems OK, it does not make sense to me it never and ever appear on EPC if it came from factory.

By the way, the #1 A 460 525 1438 looks to me the right front bumper end cap???

My Firend,

if your truck is an 460 332 its a 300GD, its a swb 2400mm. 17- means Left hand drive. 061074 the serial production number.
You can find in the EPC your parts normaly , but some time you will find a parts for oldies chassis and parts for new chassis. So in this case it will be a little confuse as you do not know you production serial number.

See in your engine the engine number- if its original, you may find your chassi number linked to engine number with a mercedes dealer.

good luck!

If this is the case, am I able to trace back from my current engine serial number to what it should be the right VIN number?
