Is that a bunch of pine needes on your drive there, or did you get some high class driveway surfacing done?

BTW...car looks great. You know.....I think that a set of MB color matching wheel covers might look good as well on that color.

I think those look GREAT!

I spoke to Mike in Birmingham yesterday.

He has one set of those wheels left. Turns out he had 16, not 12 of them.

Long Story short, I bought the last set over the phone, and I am going to drive from Atlanta to pick them up tomorrow!!!

WHOO HOOO!!!!

Nice looking wheels.

All of those pine needles remind me of my car. The PO must have stored the car in your driveway because a year later I'm still pulling pine needles out of everywhere.

If I am right about the first guys getting the boxes in worst condition first, then maybe Jet Paul will get the best set. I wonder if the next guy who calls will learn he had 20.

Did anyone else get charged the $40 PayPal and handling fees? Or am I the only sucker? :)

I was there yesterday and got the last set of Ronal's.

He does have some other M.B. fitment wheels that are nice. They are spilt twin spokes, can't remember of they were 5spoke or 7 spoke.

Don't feel bad, it cost me more than 40 in gas and lunch at a Mexican joint, plus 6 hours round trip! Heck I think you got off light, and only had to pay shipping! Lol!

Shipping was $70 for me plus $40 PayPal and handling fees. Yes I prefer to spend $110 instead of six hours in the car. I was just curious about the $40 fee, which would only apply to remote purchases.

Well, very, very nice.

As far as chrome lugs go.......I use the plastic chrome caps. They fit over the lug bolts and can easily be removed to get at the lugs.

Jeez....we could have a GTG featuring only SLs / SLCs with the 5 spoke Penta style rims.

There would be a big turnout.

Time to start looking for Lorinsers.

The main reason I didn't jump in on this at the beginning was it would have made the Road Toad look too much like the Battle Pig.

Good buy guys. They look fantastic.

A dude that I sold my 9" lorinser LO wheels to has four 8x16 et11 that he will sell when we find him a single (or two) 8x16 et22 for his 560sl. He doesn't want to sell them in case he decides to sell the 9" as a set along with some 8". I have the one et22 in my garage for him when he is finally ready to buy it. So bummed that wasn't two et22 like I thought it was when I was purchasing in the wee hours of the morning lacking sleep and brainpower due to the little baby sleepless nights.

Rowdie, when you change your mind about Pentas I have six gen1 (two ats amg) in my garage waiting for you. :) But you already know that.

Don't matter, Jim. Do what you gotta do.

My biased opinion says that the Pentas would look great on the TOAD.

As you always say. Mechanical first. There will be time for cosmetics later.
Gotta get the "road" part ready first.

And I will likely still have those Pentas for you when you get through the mechanicals.
