New wheels for '81 380SL

Does anyone know if I can put 16" rims from a newer model mercedes on my 1981 380SL. When I installed them, it seemed like I needed a longer lug bolt, but then someone else told me I needed a new hub assembly to install them. Any ideas as to what I can do?

What is the year and model Benz the wheels are off of?
