Oh that's absolutely the wrong spot to put that line to. It's the source of all your problems. I'm not sure where exactly the line is supposed to go, I'm not familiar with the layout on the M104 engine, but it will probably terminate at a small nipple near other vacuum lines on the intake manifold. You can follow the vacuum line that goes back to the engine from the vacuum distribution block that's mounted on the passenger fender (under the cover, I believe it's a light gray line). If it's similar to the M111, that lines will terminate at one of 3 nipples on the intake manifold, you will have one of those nipples open (where your open lines should be going to). The rubber connector at the end of the line is supposed to go 'around' a nipple, not 'into' a plug. If the nipples aren't clustered together, at least you will know what they look like, and you can find the one that is within reach of your open lines.
