Hi, whats up? I recently bought a 1986 190E 2.3-16. At $2000 I think I got a good deal [:)]. Anyway, I’ve had it for a few months but have just started driving it. It's so much fun to drive. It has some damage to it but nothing serious. It's mostly on the roof and the hood. I bought it from the Mexican Consulate here in San Diego. Apparently in was seized by U.S. Customs and they didn't know how the car was damaged. It runs great and has 136K miles on it. I really haven’t done any modifications to it except put in a Kenwood MP3 player. I’m hoping to get the euro light kit and S600 grille soon. I’m also thinking of getting some aftermarket rims (18s), and get the back 3 windows tinted. So, what do you guys think?

Welcome! Good car, just needs some body work/paint & the rear of the interior needs to be fixed. Otherwise its really good. [:D]18 inch rims are going to be a tight fit, should go with 17's. [;)]
yea, i was reading about the 18 inch rims. Now that I think about it I might go with the 17's.
I'm new here too! First ever post, got myself a 1990 190E 2.0 auto at the weekend for £1,000. Its got a few niggles but overall its just a testimatent to how solid these old cars are.

yours has lots of potential, big "ouch" to that roof damage though, but it looks a good model to modify.

definately get euro lights, before I came on here I didn't realise that the US had to put up with such strange lights, they really don't look right IMO.
