Friends: I'm new to diesels, but have a good working knowledge of gas engines. I was just given a 1982 300SD with 185K on the clock. The engine runs, but really has a hard time idling a lower RPMs and is blowing a contstant blue smoke from the tail-pipe. The past owner told me he recently replaced the fuel filters and glow plugs, but that's all I have to go on. This Benz acts like its running on 3 cylinders! I leaning toward the injectors not performing correctly?
