I KNOW this subject has been up before but often in conjunction with other troubles in a W126.
Mine car idles at 700...goes up a couple hundred rpms when I put it in gear and then drops instantly back to 700. I don't see that as an idle problem...which apparently IS sometimes a part of the ABS light thing.
I have read dozens of past threads on the subject.
BUT after 15 minutes of driving my ABS light DOES come on and stay on. Is there a quick fix for this? Am about to lay my Silver Lady away for the winter anyway but am really curious.:)

ABS sensor test advice from FGSSwitch pages

My W107 ABS sensor cables were cracked and I had ocassional ABS warning light alarms. The following advice is very practical to check if your wires are OK.

Text and pic are from FGS pages.

Step 1
Disconnect a socket from left ABS sensor.
Resistance should be approximately 1300 ohm (1.3 kΩ).
To raise / omit the car and run a steering wheel to the right / to the left.
If resistance varies - replace ABS sensor.
