when u think wood in a car what do u think, well to me i think expensive sedan never a fast sports car

thats why it looks like an oxymoron to have wood on the ML55 sport steering wheel, carbon fiber anyone?

love it tho, hows texas? [:D]

the wood in the CL65 gives me a laugh though, where is my brushed aluminum?

Your car looks great.

Sometimes I cringe when I remember there is a luxury car under all my rackage and seat coverings and rubber mats and bars and cages and...

Oh well.

I know, I know, wood in an SUV doesn't make sense. It is a MB afterall so it feels abit more luxurious. It is more of my escape to "luxury" after a hard day in the 911. The interior of my 911 is total aluminum look and feels like a race car should, the MB on the other hand can't pull off that look.

As for the wheel, it is fantastic. Way better than the stock wheel, very ergonomic, etc. I did the install myself. Very simple job and took less than an hour. It took longer to remove all the surround plastic pieces on the column that it did to install the wheel.

The grill is the factory AMG grill. Didn't paint it. I still have my other grill with the silver star if anybody is insterested, just PM me an offer.

As for the lower grill, now that I look at it in the picture I think I want the lower grill in silver as well.

Thanks for all the compliments!

Blackhawk, as for the Texas question. I haven't lived there in 3 years but still have all my family there and own property there (hence the TX plates). Don't think I will ever change them anyway since NV and VA plate registration is not cheap compared to the measly $65 a year in TX!

Are you 100% sure that your grill is an AMG? Coz there should`nt be a silver paint in between the star, it should be black. Check the pic.

Positive. It even said so on the box that it came in from Mercedes. FYI....the AMG grill has more than one variation. Also, I have 2 star inserts for it. One is totally silver (like in the pic) and one is black with just the surface star in silver (like in your pic). I prefer the silver one.

There is only one AMG grill from MB and it is the silver painted grill with the horizontal chrome accent strips, BUT with the centre portion unpainted to make the MB star stand out.

Nice job with the interior.

Thanks for all the comments! I tried to make the car look as stock as possible yet give it that "exclusive" look. Bascially, I was about 2 seconds away from trading it in on a G500 since they are no longer (the original style) but decided to spend a few bucks and feel like I have a new ML all over again. Couldn't be happier with the results.

As for the star in the grill, like I said, I have both now. Maybe the included star I got bot mistake. So, this weekend I am going to swap the full silver centre for the black and silver centre and see which one I like best (oh yeah and which one the wifey likes best) :)

The armrest I got from PP. Couldn't be happier with the way everything tunred out.

Now just debating wheather or not to hold on to all the replacement stuff or sell it?
