Tigger, I agree the antenea is ugly!! However, I put mine under the driverside hood vent and the signal is just fine. In order to do this you need to have your dealer order an extension cable. It is not easy to get so if your dealer can't find it then e-mail me and I will get the info. from my dealer. Anyway, it's the only way to go with the SL. I sure would NOT screw any such ugly antenea to the back of my trunk, NO WAY!!

Did you use the aftermarket Terk antenna or did you use the MB one and put it in the hood vent?

Lovin, use the MB antenea. The MB antenea has a large surface area that seems to help it to see through the hood vent better. I tried differnt brands of smaller anteneas but the MB antenea worked the best.

So you are saying it fit? Did it fit in the far left section or did you have to go to the far right section on the driver's side vent?

Is it in the driver or passenger side vent? Also can you post pics?

I tried today to fit the regular Sirius antenna and can't on the driver's side. It has to go on the passanger side.

Is this what you did?
