Keep the old top so that when you are ready to sell your car in the future, you can sell the Pano separately.

I've just spoken to Thomas, who, this being Friday Evening is stuck in traffic on that car park known as the M25, he's about 30 mins from Luton. He's then turning around and driving straight back to Pembroke with his new Pano for a 3:00AM ferry back to Ireland . If there is a R129 award for bravery, could one of the moderators please polish it up and send it to Tommyboy?

We had hoped to meet up for a coffee, but with the rush hour traffic and dark foggy conditions, it's not really been practical :(.

Thomas promises to post some photos of his new Black Pano on a Ruby Red car this weekend :).

Regards
Steve

Actually a black Pano will look pretty good on his Ruby Red car as his soft top should also be black already. I bought a spare black 'normal' HT and it doesn't look out of place on my car.

These Panos are becoming a cult type of obsession. It's kind of interesting watching this develop. These will shortly be worth more than the R129 itself.

Enjoy your new top.

Absolute rubbish !!!

I'm just going to back the car out of the garage, and gaze at the almost full moon this evening through the pano top :D

Arrived back in ireland on sat at 7am,a 120 mile drive to work at a drifting show.Total drive 800 miles but boy it was worth it! Pano tops rock! I love the curvature, the side profile looks amazing. Will have to have it painted, looks great now but needs to be perfect! RKH i'll never sell Ulrich (my SL) so have no need for two tops! Great to talk to steve and will post pics asap

I'm glad everything worked out for you on your drive... getting a pano top is probably one of the best reasons for a long road trip.

Quick questions:
Is the glass tinted?
My pano looks like there is a factory tint on it. Anyone know if it can be removed? I would like the car to feel more like a convertible with the top down when the pano is on the car.

Yes the glass is tinted, I don't think they ever came with clear glass!

Take it to a professional auto glass tinter to see if they can remove the factory tint. But in Az it would be like a greenhouse.

As James (Redliner) says, I believe the actual glass is tinted, it can't be removed. However one of the few criticisms of the Pano roof is its heat transmission in warm climates, and I would imagine Mesa, Arizona would be marginally warmer than a Spring day in Channels End, Bedfordshire. I think you'll need that tint, even in an Arizona Winter
