hi guys, so i just got a 2005 C320 coupe with 100k miles on it, it was a steal so i had to get it. loving the car so far, it has newer interior compared to the 04 model , feels so much newer, however, I have notice this problem, is that whenever i switched to Sports mode, i then started accelerate it from about 40 mph to 90 mph , then come to a stop point, then i feel weird vibration coming from the front end , it feels like its coming from the engine room. but if i switch to normal mode, it feels normal again, is there anyone else experiencing or had the same problem? i had a shop diagonoise the car before i purchased, i was told the engine and transmisson works great. PLEASE HELP:confused:

The only difference between sport and comfort mode is transmission shifting. In sport mode, it hold gears longer before upshifting and downshifts with less throttle input. In comfort mode, it upshifts earlier and it takes more throttle to call for a downshift. Also, in comfort mode, the transmission starts in 2nd gear instead of first.

My guess is there is an issue with engine performance causing this, but it could be a TCU problem. A common problem on these cars is a leaking pilot bushing where the electrical connector from the TCU attaches to the transmission. Fluid can either leak out and end up on the garage floor, or it can "wick" into the wiring harness and end up in the TCU (under the passenger-side foot panel carpeting).

I'd get a diagnostic run with equipment can that pull both ECU and TCU codes. Also, did you check the transmission fluid level, and check the wiring and TCU for oil?
