Hi -

So, dealer has found me a 2010 G55 Designo Mocha Black with the two tone tan and black interior.

I have a 2009 Black/Black 2009 G55 - I am just not a black on black kinda guy. I was talking to some guys about the brabus grill and wheels - and doing some sort of two-tone interior.

Money is about the same - get a new truck or upgrade the current one.

What do I do?

Also - I read that since this G55 is the "last" MB road going vehicle that will have the 5speed tranny, will this lead to problems down the road? Or, has the 5 speed been around long enough that service in 5, 10, 15 years will be easy enough?

Thanks,

asg

easy answer: New G55, nothing after-market can beat the factory installation.

The 722.6 is the 5 speed and that has been around for a long time and most likely will remain in certain of the Mercedes vehicle lines (possibly even the G55 for longer, and other AMG vehicles that require the 722.6 strength) and in the Mercedes Sprinters. The 722.6 is stout.

A quality shop can do the seats to @ or better than OEM. And you can get whatever you like. The wheels / grill question is not relevant since the 09/10 have the exact same exterior package.
