Recently acquired a 2004 E320 4-matic wagon to hopefully replace my lemon VW Passat wagon. First of all, what a significant difference in "car". VW holds no candle to MB. I got the VW to replace my old MB 300SD as my primary driver and it has been one problem after another.
What has been really impressive with this E320 is its ability to start in our cold northern weather. Down to minus 38 C and all I have is an interior car heater because the doors don't want to unlock in that temp without the car heated up. Other than that it starts up on the first try. (VW needed to be heated up at about minus 24 C and wouldn't start at all at minus 38 unless it was in a heated enclosure)
In addition to the two MBs and the soon to be rid of VW I have a Porsche 911powered 86 Intermeccanica Roadster RS and a 66 Porsche 912.
