I just purchased a 2005 c240. It came with one key. I know I can go to the dealer and order a key. Was wondering if there was a good alternative to the dealer that is reliable and potentially cheaper. Thanks.

Not really. There are some hacks that some people use to make new keys, but you'll probably save less than $100 and there is some risk that their reprogramming of your EIS could damage it.
