I just purchased a 2013 B250 with 225/40 R18 92W XL In the manual it says an optional tire is 205/50/R17 93H XL option for winters. I found a set of basically new Michelin winters that are 205/50R17 93H off a Mazda vehicle so the rims won't fit, but will these tires? Is there more information to know whether or not they would work?

Questions: ( I have never bought tires before) Could I get these tires and put them on different rims?
The dealer said the offset is between 45-52 ( I don't know what that means) with a 112mm 5 bolt wheel.
Rim size on door sticker 6.5jx17 ET49. 49mm offset. Is this how I would look for rims? With these numbers? I don't want to buy the tires if I can't fit them on the rims but don't know what all the measurements entail.

So should I get his winter tires and google" rims 6.5jx17 ET49 with 49mm offset" to find the proper size? Or is the offset something to do with the tires themselves, I just don't see it when I look at the tires, which are continental run flats. I want to be sure they would fit before buying but with the numbers I have given do I have the right information? Thanks so much for your help.

I guess I can't edit.

manual, not door sticker says for alloy wheels 6.5jx17H2 wheel offset 1.93in or 49mm. Im not sure where the ET49 came in, must have read it somewhere.

manual gives tires 205/50R17 93H XL M-S (with or without MO extended). Does the MO extended have to be there? The guy selling the winters just said they were 205/50R17 93H and didn't mention MO extended.

Usually people find their wheels first and then the tires, but it sounds like you are on the right track. It is critical that not only the offset is correct, but the "PCD" and "center bore" are also correct for your model car. I'm not sure about the trucks, but most MB passenger cars are 5x112 PCD and 66.56 mm centerbore. Then there's the holes/seats for the lug bolts, which are either 12x1.5 thread pitch or 14x1.5 thread pitch (wider holes).

A wheel dealer like Tire Rack should be able to help find the correct wheel that meets all this criteria for you.
