I personally wouldnt put those in my car, but I guess if you like the way they look.... maybe its a good deal. Have no idea about quality, but for 125 bucks, you're probably gonna get a cheap product.

Just because its cheap and on Ebay doesn't mean its shitty.

I don't think its all that inexpensive to upgrade your headlights...

Thats just my thoughts though.

But thats problly just because I'm content stock.

Don't muck up an expensive, well-engineered car like an MB with inferior aftermarket parts like that.

If you're going to do it, get good quality stuff from Katmac or Bosch.

Leave that cheap shit to the Fast & Furious crowd.

They are cheaper by 25 bucks than before, and reason for that is cuz they dont come with corners... But I've seen them on a 124 in person, they dont look that bad actually.

I thought about ordering those but wasn't crazy about the boy-racer look, so reworked my budget for a while and put the extra cash in for a pair of Bosch Euros. Just under $500 and that included a pair of amber euro markers (darker color than US Spec). To each his own, but save my money and go for the real deal.

Am planning to put an H4 HID (low-beam only), and wire the foglamps as high beams.

Anyone tried this ?

Thanks Jorge -- can you provide more details on "greasy" setup?
1) was it an "as-is" fitment (i.e., use existing mount and reflector - no "projector" conversion required) ?
2) did it require much adjustment (aim, etc) ?

One "risk" with going HID sans projector lens, is that some reflectors do not focus the light correctly, and this results in unfocused light with a lot of leakage. I did a conversion in a late model (MY 2005) non-projector car and it worked OK.

Please post pix and/or links to the greasy conversion.

Just got a set of Katmac's E Codes for my 93 300E and was surprised by the value for money of the product.

Compared to Scantec E Codes for Volvo (Cibie/Valeo knock offs with very inferior plastic quality and coke bottle quality lenses) and DJ E Codes (slightky better than Scantec plastic and decent glass quality)- the Katmac vended product had only one defect in the lens area (interior side mar) and so install/wiring instructions were a pleasant surprise.

You will NEVER have correct beam pattern if you retrofit an HID kit into stock headlamps with stock glass. The optical "system" is just that. The bulb, reflector and lens work as a system and changing any of them will disrupt the beam pattern.
You can't wire fog lights as high beams. The pattern coming from the fogs will always be a fog pattern and not a high beam pattern.
