Hey everyone! I'm a twenty year old guy from Kokomo, IN. I go to Lincoln Tech, and I've been looking to buy a 1986 Mercedes 420. What do I need to keep an eye out for, like common problems, or known rust areas. Any tips you have are better than none!

Welcome to Benzworld! I had a 1990 420 sel and loved all 200000 miles of it! When you go to look at one, try to get as much info gathered on the car as you can, service records, who drove it meaning did they drive very agressively and beat the crap out of it, do a carfax on it to gather info as well, just do your legwork. Dont let a pretty paintjob fool you into buying it. You can also post your questions in the W126 section of the fourms here to query other owners as to their experiences.
