Recently was the first EQS purchaser for my local MB dealer. Have a new EQS 450+, mineral white metallic with space grey/black leather interior, general premium trim, but with AMG exterior andinterior enhancements and 21 inch AMG wheels. what a fabulous car. Still learning it, definitely loving it!

I am surprized, quite frankly, at the lack of interest in this car on this site. Getting much more input from posters on the Bimmerpost chat site, which I frequented as a M550 owner. This car is amazing. I'm still waiting for the NEMA 6-50 plug to be installed in my garage, and my (Mercedces recommended) ChargePoint Home Flex charger is on backorder for the next two to three weeks. So charging with strong regen, the 115 volt charger overnight, and the use of commercial chargers as needed. Need to download the ChargePoint, Electrify America, and Plugshare apps to find full coverage of all the available charging options commercially. Electrify America has a bunch of DC fast chargers. Once I get the Level 2 in my garage, there will be no problems locally. The luxury and stereo, the quietness and comfort, the agility of this car, which is not slow by any means, make it so enjoyable to drive. Window tint on Friday. This is awesome!

Update: So the Level 2 charger recommended by Mercedes (ChargePoint Home Flex) requires a NEMA 6-50 plug. Unfortunately, my garage panel handles only the 120 Volt needs of my house, the 220/240 Volt panel is on the back of the house. So, they have to do a run through the attic and a wall drop to install the plug, an expensive deal, so be prepared if you are purchasing an EV. Otherwise, the car is awesone. In traffic, click the left shift paddle to go into strong recuperation mode, and experience true "one pedal" driving as the engine brakes the car like the transmission in an ICE vehicle if you downshift and let the clutch out. And, in doing so, you watch the Status of Charge (SOC) meter gain a few miles. Pretty interesting. This is a fantastic vehicle. The adventure continues.....

I do quite like the one pedal driving in electric cars. Surprisingly intuitive.

Is that domestic normal for the US then? Over here 240v is normal, I think the rest of Europe is similar.
No idea about elsewhere.
Yes, In the USA, the normal is 120 volt. Each house also has 220/240 for the electric stove top/oven, air conditioner, clothes dryer, etc....with many having seperate breaker boxes for 120 vs 220/240. At any rate, I now have a 240 volt NEMA 6-50 plug in my garage. The ChargePoint Home Flex level 2 charger is scheduled to arrive Tuesday, which I can self-install. That, then, will open up all the possibilities for my car, because I can charge from 20% or less to 80% overnight. I love the car, but can't wait to end the range anxiety I experience because I cannot charge fully at home. It is going to be awesome, come Tuesday! The "one pedal driving" is fantastic in traffic, very much like driving a manual transmission, or a DCT like in my former M4, where the engine also brakes the car. In this case, it also gives you some free battery charge. Just a quick flick of the left paddle puts you in that mode and a quick flick of the right paddle returns you to normal. Pretty awesome! Love this car!

Update: So, the Level 2 charger recommended by MBUSA is the ChargePoint HomeFlex. Mine arrived today, took less than 30 minutes to install, hook up to WiFi, and activate. It is now charging at 7.7kw, and the car is predicting 80% level in 4 hours. I had about 54% when I began, as I had not charged in two days. So, all the worries are gone, and I love driving the car more each day. Had window tint done Friday, a must in the Southern US. Love the rear wheel steering for parking and navigating tight parking lots. Loving the driving, the quiet, the luxury, and the Burmester stereo more each day. What a fantastic car!
