I just got a 99 CLK 430 with 67K, so I wanna do some maintenance.
The car came loaded with all the options andI scored it for $15K :)

Anyway, what transmission fluid should i get for it? MBenz charges 20+ bucks for a quart of it (or a similar rediculous price) and I really don't want to pay that much for repacked $3.99 oil...

Also does anyone sell a real shop manual for these cars?.

Unfortunately that's what you should really put in there. I'm sure some people will say you can use something else, but I wouldn't risk it.

yeah and its cheaper than a new transmission isnt it?

thats harly the point - benz is known to repack the fluids they use and sell them at a jacked up price.

yeah, i once bought that Meguire's MB carwash from the dealer for like $11 only to find out later (from a service rep) it's the exact same sh** as the the $5 Meguire's from Autozone.
