OK,I can have the SLK 55 in September,my choice of color, options, but do I REALLY WANT/NEED it??
What 's it worth to get the new model? List is $62,500 give or take ,plus 6% tax here in Florida. My SLK32 will be 2 years old,25,000 miles.Any guesses as to the difference?
Between $15,000 and $25,000 I'm guessing.
Shall I go for it?
Shig...please put in your .027 Euros worth of advice.

RE: I think the difference will be more like $28K.

yes-when you add xenons, nav, decent sound system, you're prob correct.Just got off phone with my car nut son,he says to take the $$ and buy a Mini Cooper convertible.Nah,I said,I shall have my 73 Mustang convertible rotisseried to be a NEW 73 mustang....
I must be mad to even think of dropping 28 big ones so soon already on a new car---its only a car, folks.

I would agree...a lot of great muscle cars for 28K...

I'm on the short list for a SLK55...in addition to the fact that I think its ugly and the interior sucks...that plastic skuffs to easily....not worth 28K for a V8 in my opinion. Besides it just isn't a classic.

Keep the 32...it will be. I have lots of car friends that are in the biz and they say that although the 32 prices are soft...they will rise slightly and firm up. Same thing happened to the older SL with the new body style. They've increased.

32 all the way. My worthless two cents. ;-)

I will toss in my 2cents :) I would keep the 32 also. Considering how many 'kinks' the old slk's had even after years of refining I can only imagine what the first run of the new SLKs will be like. I would give it a year or two, see what kind of problems the new ones have and see if its worth it you. Totally OT but I have to say I like the new vette much better than the new slk.

Exactly - never buy a car in its first model year...give it some time get the problems worked out. And for now, yeah definitely keep the 32 and if you MUST spend 28K, get yourself a DeLorean or something for fun....but not the cooper convertible [xx(] Maybe an 02' S2000 s/c?
