Hi guys,

I recently installed a new Varta battery on my car and when I leave my car to recharge overnight and turn on the vehicle (not starting the engine) - just one push. I always get the resting voltage UB at 12.4v via the vehicle data hidden menu

Some says this is only 75% charged and some says it is normal range.

What do you guys think?

These cars use a lot of power. 12.4 is ok with the car on. There is a lot of systems running with ignition on.

Sould be up in the 13 ..4 vots running I just replaced the voltage regulator in my car this past weekend, showing a steady 13.3-13.5, so I would say yours is low.
When it's running a good battery should be 13.7~14.3v. When the engine is on my one showing a steady 14~14.2v which indicating a very healthy battery. To be honest, your voltage sounds quite low to me if you replaced it recently. It's not even above 13.5v...

My questions was regarding the resting voltage, before even starting the engine.i.e. one push to get all the electrical on and engine is not turned on.

I would use a reliable voltmeter and check it with the ignition off. Make sure to wait 10 minutes after turning the car off and closing the doors so that all of the electronics have gone to sleep.

A charging battery after engine start will get up around 14.2 but once it’s put it’s initial charge in it will settle back down to the low 13’s as a constant charge.
Your battery sounds fine to me.

You need to measure voltage with battery undisturbed. Opening doors, turning ignition on will provide false results.
