Your text hereHi pals,I own an 129 500SL that is 1992 model,yesterday I changed my car battery into new one,I noticed two things,the acceleration gone up and two light started to illuminate ABS,ASR.Did this happend to any one before?and what should I do to reset the mentioned above,thanking you

Hi, I have a '91 500SL and have experienced strange things after the battery is recharged, disconnected or replaced. Latest was that the top control module wouldn't raise the softtop. Things seem to reset themselves after a few cycles.

Same thing happened in my 2001 SL..Dealership had to reset something for the soft top to actually finish raising itself...They reset something (for free) and said they do this all the time..They suggested next time I need a new battery to simply bring it in and they'll swap it for free...

The ABS light reset itself after a couple miles...
