Well my key fob was dead when I bought the car...350.00 at the dealer for a replacement! I had a local shop install a Viper alarm system with a remote start for 485.00...It is a 2 way system that works up to a mile away. When you start the car the key fob has a LCD screen on it verifies start up, what the temp inside your car after you remotly start it, so it will be cooled or heated to the right temp before you head out into the elements...Not bad for 135.00 more than a antiquated line of sight key fob
