What' VIN of the cadaver?
Sorry, my first question would be, is the golden color of the transmission fluid normal? She told me she hadn't messed with the transmission and when she drive it in December it shifted fine, but of course she wanted to sell it.Did not see a Q here....

As the title says.... I'm getting around to fixing stuff on the 1997 E320, and when I measured the transmission oil fluid, the fluid was dark green (???). My buddies tell me that this is likely original transmission fluid, or original MB transmission fluid. They cite the BMW transmission...

I don't have the warning triangle in either of my ML's, my daily driven one has the first aid kit though.
Warning triangles were typically reserved for outside the NA market. Always deleted for NA built or NA bound.

Could be the original, as mentioned in the link provided, and most likely is as the previous owner hasnt "messed with it".
Well, if the transmission is good then I'll put it in my daily ML since I have some stripped threads for the transmission pan.

My daily driven one just didn't come with one. Wasn't a factory installed thing I guess. I haven't had one since I owned it and I know the previous owner didn't remove it. The original owner may have had it removed, but it's unlikely that she did.
That's kinda what I was thinking. Should I go ahead and install it since I plan on putting the tow hitch? I'm not sure if it's the factory hitch, I'm not sure what the factory hitch looks like honestly.
