Looks nice, no crank/start so I paid $1k. Same owner for 15+ years. Tail light issues, 2 tickets, new job, new house, just stop driving it. Tried to start it after a few years and it would crank till batt died. Eventually bought new battery, then no crank/start. Gave up on it. Not a diy person so ships were asking big bucks to fix. I’ll give it a whirl.

No fuel pump sounds. Did a pressure test at the rail, nothing. Did a voltage test at the fuel pump terminals and got nothing when key was on. Suggestions on finding cause or location of no power? Read these not a std fuse. Maybe a fusible link, K40 relay, would a 98slk have the crash cut off that stops the pump?

Try to disconnect the wire to the fuelpump and check the power. If it's a shortcut in the pump may the 12v power stop.

Pump runs with power to it. Did a test today and a 2 second test run put 30 pounds on my attached pressure gage.
