Hey, guys, I am installing a first gear start module out of an 85 500 sel into my 90 560. I am doing it as per Talbir's posts, I just want to make sure of which wire is the correct one behind the speedometer to get a speed pulse signal.
Is it the single connector that plugs in directly behind the speedometer?

Hey guys,
Can I request you to post the FGS installation step-by-step; I have FGS module ready for installation in my 420SEL.

Your post will be very helpful.

Thanks in advance and good luck with your test drive.

Cool, 100% success! I got first gear start; it feels just as if I had dropped it down into B and back at a stoplight, and all the other shifting characteristics seem the same. Also, the adjusting headlamps work and seem really cool, It remains to be seen if I will use them much, BUT I LIKE IT. Y'all know the feeling I know! Jonathan's comment about having them vs not (he liked) tipped me to running all the lines. Just need a vacuum check that has one or two more nips on the cabin side to make it all legit. For now I got a Y in place.
