THE DEALER FOR THOSE PARTS

whoa, I would say probably the dealer for those splash shields. In the pic, part #1/Front Deflector is $174.00, #2/Center Duct is $73.00 and as you can see #5/Rear Deflector is $268.00. I hope this helps.............Thor

I am looking for the same part, the front splash shield/deflector that sits under the radiator and stretches across the front from left to right of a 1998 E320 4-matic

I got a Mercedes part # for it of 2105200422 but when I search for that part online I am getting mostly foreign language websites.

When I use that dealer parts link in this message thread, it comes up as #1 in the illustration for $174 but when I click the 4matic or non-4matic link on the left it comes up as $104 but without an illustration. The parts guy at that dealer, Merc. of Pompano, quoted me $150.50 but he is using different software so I still cannot be sure of the part # matching to the photo and I am trying to do this without having to visit a dealership

http://www.trademotion.com/partloca...lass&year=1998&catalogid=2&displayCatalogid=0

Anyone have any further info?

Thanks

1. Please click user cp and add your vehicle and location info to your profile.

2. Either use the ECP to locate your own part numbers (trust yourself navigating rather unusual software) or trust the parts guy at the counter. Posting such a question likely will yield more confusion, since there's no reason to trust that..

3. If you have a 4-matic, don't assume that 2wd part numbers are the same and vice-versa.

4. Prices mean nothing. They change over time and, more importantly, each dealer charges whatever they wish for parts. Could be the same part, might not be. That's why there are part numbers.

5. You can only buy this part from a dealer (or wrecking yard). Some will sell online, but shipping will kill you, so may as well go order it (so you can point it out to the parts guy) and then pick it up. Order the little bolts if you're missing any, too.

Good luck.
