Trying to get it in perfect tune.

Timing, static and dynamic.
Control and system pressure (warm and cold) plus fuel return line rate.

I think most of the SLC guys are on the west coast and not yet awake. WTF are you doing up so early?

Tune-up specs are the same as those for the regular 450 cast iron engine. There's really only three adjustments to make, timing idle speed and mixture.

Timing is 0deg. TDC
Idle speed 600 --> 800 RPM
Mixture: I forget - .2% maybe - but whatever is needed to get the CO% in proper range to pass smog.

If you suspect a fuel delivery or distributor problem then you can check your fuel pressures but otherwise I don't think that will make much of a difference.

What's the VIN number of the car you are working on?
