Is your sender leaking? Or do you have an erratic gauge. I had issues with erratic reading that turned ot to be a wiring issue. The wire from the sender was routed near the power steering pump bracket and had worn through the insulation, causing a false low reading and erratic gauge function.

I just got one from Jim Ince @ Eurotech. I"m not at my office so I can't share the part # or cost, though I recall it being just over $100. I'm planning to do an autopsy on my old unit. I'm guessing they collect sludge. Mine would register pressure when cold.

Mine is dead. The gauge goes the way to 80 psi with just the key on and when the wire is shorted to the engine block the meter goes to zero. These are an indications of a bad sending unit. As for the $100.00, I being as it is, trying to build a Mog on a shoestring. There some other VDO gauges out there that are 0-80 PSI (0-5 Bar) and are a lot cheaper. And I think I have found a 1/8 NPT to 14x1.4mm adapter. So we will see how that goes.

Thanks for getting back to me.
