Would these wheels fit my 85 500 SEL without spacers, and if so would I need new lug bolts? I currently have 14" wheels on my vehicle.

Thanks.

They should fit fine... it has the right ET .. and i would think the your lug bolt should work on those rims.

They will bolt right up. No problems at all. I think they really update the car. Funny, when I purchased my 1st MB's, the 14" bundts had just come out. Everybody thought they looked so cool. Now everybody hates them.

I would not exactly say ‘hate,’ they’re just too small for such a large car – PITA to clean, though…[:(!]

So these are 15x8.5. That's interesting. My sedan has the same type wheel at 15x6.5. I guess the SEC had wider tires. Were any other sizes of these 15-holers made?

Thanks for all of the information. I don't mind the look of the 14's, but they are a PITA to clean. I may end up keeping them and using them during the winter months.
