I need some advice about adding an amp on SLK230..
I currently have Kenwood in-dash 7'' LCD, DVD changer, CD changer, Passport SR1, After market HID and Kenwood Music Keg installed.
And I am thinking about to remove just a factory subwoofer and replace it with two 8'' with 4-channel amp. So I am gonna keep the factory bose amp for the door speakers(Since I don't know how to remove and install the door speakers, and when I try to remove the door panels I always break something..from past experience...) and I am gonna have an addtional amp..
Is this too much for my battery?
I heard that amp takes a lot of battery power, so just wondering if the battery can hold all these items..
Any advice will be appreciated.. Thanks..
This is a similar thread to the one above this.

So far mine is fine.
HID needs less power than Halogen one.
So I think it's OK.
But sound qualitywise, I don't know.
I think of converting my battery to Optima battery.

BTW if you want more bass, you'd better do deadning of front doors IMHO.
You don't want to skip it.
Your Battery is Fine

You don't need to change the battery.
unless you are planning to add more (A LOT MORE)amps that draw a lot of current.
