Damaged crossmember

Those may not be for you collections.... but here you go

Can anybody compare my cross member with yours? I got hang up on a rock and bent the cross member (the part that holds AT mount). I looks it's bent but don't know how much. I don't think the cross member was flat when new. Since then, I have vibration under passanger's seat. I feel some vibration from the floor.

Any input is appreciated.

Yasu

RE: Damaged crossmember

Yasu! You're crazy!... well, at least you having lots of fun!

I also have a question for the folks... Is what you bent technically called a cross member? (since it doesn't look like one of the 6 main pipes that serve to keep the chassis straight)... i'm thinking that's a tranmission bracket or something...

Actually bending one of those tubular cross members would be quite a challenge. After looking at other vehicles, i was amazed how thick those tubular cross members are.

For a little humor... isn't vibrating seats one of the options in the most expensive japanese luxury cars? (which we don't have in the US). Maybe you can tell your wife you've taken the truck to the dealer to add that feature for her!

The proper name is the Rear Engine Mount Support.

List Price in Europe is € 143,50.

If you have bent that thing, you're going to damage your center drive shaft and possibly the rear transmission and front transfer case bearings and seals because of the misalignment of the engine and transmission. It should be a simple 6 nut & bolt in place job. I'd do it soon.

If it were me, I'd also order the rubber engine mount. P/N: A.220.240.02.18 or A.220.240.05.18 at € 21,72.

Why only the rubber mount?

Thanks

Well, the other side was very mild slope. I was lazy and didn't want to get out. Now I regret [B)]

That's CELSIOR (US name Lexus LS400)! That option is very nice. Once you tried it, you can't leave the seat...
